Visit to the Black Sheep Wools craft barn

Yesterday we had an adventure at the Black Sheep Wools barn sale! We were there for several hours and our baskets got fuller and fuller. It was a 45 minute drive from Kidsgrove. The previously virtual wool store was a real place filled with locals with Lancashire accents. We had a number of conversations with other shoppers, especially about the Louisa Harding tweed. We were the furthest travelling visitors, having driven from Kidsgrove, let alone London and Perth!

Goodness me! I have this image of you and Margaret sitting in a room, furiously knitting, surrounded by mountains of wool and yarn while Alex looks on with a bemused expression on his face. Seems like Margaret has gone on a holiday to knit! Most enviable.

I knew this would happen so I stayed at home. I have the bemused expression though….
